Family owned, very nice people. Birria tacos con consome were delicious. Ask for the hot salsa. The taco Tuesday was great, 2 tacos which are very well filled with meat, onions, cilantro, salsa, and guacamole. Fantastic.

Taquero en whittier. Authentic Tijuana style tacos. They add that glop of guacamole. Hand mad tortillas, fresh ingredients, good flavored meats. Made the mistake of getting the tacos with everything. They where pretty spicy. I'll get it without next time. Other than that, food was good and very affordable. Will try the birria next time. They have other good options. Will be back to try more things.

Authentic Tijuana-style flavor in every bite, this spot is the real deal. If you’re looking for legit Tijuana-style tacos, Taqueria El Poblano Estilo Tijuana #5 delivers. The *al pastor tacos* were fire... crispy edges, juicy meat, and full of sabor. You can tell they take pride in doing it right. ¡Estaban bien buenos! The *carne asada burrito* was packed — tons of flavor, solid portion, and that grilled taste that hits just right. La carne tenia ese toque ahumado perfecto. You’re definitely getting your money’s worth here. And the *mulita de carne asada*? Total sleeper hit. Cheesy, crispy, meaty... basically a quesadilla’s cooler cousin. Honestly, I could eat a couple of those and call it a day. Bien hecho. Everything was fresh, fast, and full of flavor. It feels like a corner taco spot straight out of TJ. Great food, chill vibe, and worth the stop every time.

These tacos are delicious. They are bit of a drive for me but it's totally worth it. They season the mean perfectly, the guac is an extra touch that really brings everything together. And their hot salsa is flavorful with a bit of a kick. Not to spicy just the right amount. Would differently recommend this place.

Tacos are really good. Flavored meat . Red hot salsa is not the same one they put in food. So for hot salsa make sure you tell them your preference . Quesadillas are good too. Make sure you get the flour cause I found out there’s 2 kinds and the other is made with corn . Very nice people. Customer service is great.

I’m very picky when it comes to Mexican food, it has to be good & traditional. This place it’s great!! Very authentic food. If there was anything negative to say it’s that they only sell Pepsi products. Coca-Cola products would be a better option but that’s a different conversation. Treat yourself to great Mexican tacos, tortas, quesadillas & burritos without the drive into Mexico.

These tacos are the best, best , best tacos I’ve eaten in a long time. Everything about them: the texture and flavor of the meats, the tortillas , the spicy salsa! This will become our family’s new taco place!! I was just recalling with my husband about one of the top 5 meals we ever ate was at our cousins home in Puebla 20 years ago. We were driving past this place and decided to try it out. What a great discovery. Reminded us of great family cooking.

We stumbled upon this gem last night while driving by. We say “Tijuana Tacos” and a massive line. While their ordering process is a bit confusing (stand in one line to order & pay, get a receipt, stand in another line waiting for your number to be called to get your food), the food was authentic South of the Border TJ tacos. We ordered Adobada, Asada, and Birria; three staples to see how they compare to other places. The Birria was juicy & tender, the asada was some of the beat I’ve ever eaten (I’m very picky about asada) and the Adobada was a mix of juicy pieces and crispy pieces. At 2.00 a taco they were super generous with the meat, and just like in Baja, you can get con todo, or however you choose. Their salsa verde was a bit weak for me, however, the flavor was spot on. While I’ve had better in Mexico; these are some of the best I’ve had North of the border. I’ll definitely make the 20 min drive to eat here again.

Enjoy the mouthwatering birria tacos con consomé, praised for their rich flavors and tender meat. Don’t forget to ask for the hot salsa, a local favorite that adds just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. It’s the perfect complement to the hearty flavors.
